The introduction of the G700 model by Sony Ericsson led to a brand new user interface for the company and its products. This new interface makes it easier to move around the menu and has been deemed much more user friendly than other system before.
No doubt, the interface has gotten better, but it is in the camera and media player division that improvements have certainly been made. Finally! Sony Ericsson has listened to consumer suggestions and incorporated them into the new G700.
The UIQ interface of the Symbian OS has seen a lot of improvement too. Most of the programs are easily accessible on the main screen and controls like the multimedia and the camera. They are now prominent. Gone are the small buttons that are hard to access especially if the phone is encased in a protective shell.
There are also far more configurable menu shortcuts than there was in past SE phones. They also improved on the "Sticky Note" feature of this Smartphone and is now the foremost organizing genius. The multimedia player has also improved logic for song search, even picture management and video filing is a breeze with easy to use search tools.
Perhaps one of the most improved user interface feature in the G700 is the camera interface. It is now much easier to utilize and has been programmed to work best with thumb and stylus use. The new interface provides much more control and is remarkably easier to navigate than before. The only problem is that the G700 camera has no autofocus rendering the Macro focus useless.
Other great phone features include: Triband connection, video calling, photo call, Bluetooth 2.0 technology, USB v2 connectivity, FM radio, WAP browser, SMS, MMS, Email, IM, Push Email capability, Stopwatch, Alarm clock, handwriting recognition, and so much more.
